In a blog post, the company wrote that the drones will deliver packages to customers in Lockeford, where about 3,500 people live. Unlike most drones, Amazon’s delivery drones won’t need to be controlled by a person. Instead, the company said the drones have a “self-driving” system that will allow them to safely avoid things like airplanes, people and pets.
