00:07 – I am really excited right now
00:09 because today I’m going to one of the
00:11 Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu.
00:14 But first, a train ride from Cusco.
00:17 Let’s go!
00:23 but my favorite part are the windows on the ceiling.
00:27 As you look up, you can see the towering canyons above.
00:30 It’s like nature is just completely engulfing you.
00:36 Okay, stage one of our voyage is complete.
00:39 We are in Aguas Calientes.
00:40 Now we’re gonna jump in a van and drive up to Machu Picchu.
00:50 many sectors, right here we can show
00:56 the religion system.
00:58 This place is considered as the center of the spirituality in the Andes.
01:06 – Look at this.
01:07 This is what I’ve seen on postcards, in books
01:10 and in movies all of my life.
01:12 Definitely, one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.
01:17 Right now, I’m standing above the urban section
01:20 and this is where everybody lived.
01:22 These where the houses were, the grain storage
01:25 and one edge in fact is that
01:26 there are only about six to seven hundred people
01:28 that actually lived in Machu Picchu
01:31 and they’re all of the high class.
01:35 Right behind me here are the terraced hills
01:38 and what they did there is they grew corn, quinoa
01:42 and other cereal type things.
01:43 And not only were they terraced hills,
01:45 but they also used were for irrigation.
01:47 In the wet season, it was used to bring all the water down.
01:53 This area right here is actually the stone core.
01:57 This is where they got all the stones
01:59 and what they would do is they’d chisel them down
02:01 and make them smaller so they would fit perfectly
02:04 into the walls you see all over Machu Picchu.
02:09 I can honestly say that this is one of the best days of my life.
02:13 I’ve always wanted to visit Machu Picchu
02:14 and it definitely lived up to its name.
02:17 The train ride was breathtaking,
02:19 our guide was knowledgeable and fun
02:24 – Woooooooooh!
02:25 – Machu Picchu!
