1. Taiwan is number one on a list of 59 nations as the best country for expats – a person who leaves their country to live in another one, according to a survey by Internations.
2. Internations is an online network for expats with 4.1 million members. The survey included more than 12,200 expats living in 186 places. They were asked about everything from work and health care, to how easy it is to make friends and how safe they feel.

(2)Do you know many expats? If so, where are they from??

3.[responsivevoice voice = "US English Female" buttontext = ""]Taiwan did well in almost every category, with 80% of expats saying they are happy with their life in general, compared to a global average of 75%. And while 8% of expats globally said they feel unsafe, in Taiwan that number is zero.

4. Ninety-six percent of expats said they are happy with the quality of health care in Taiwan, while 94% are happy with how much it costs, compared to just 61% of expats globally.

5. Mexico was the second best country on the list, but actually ranked higher than Taiwan when it came to general happiness, with 89% saying they are happy with their lives in general. Mexico was also found to be friendly — 78% of expats said it is easy to make local friends, compared to just 44% globally.
6. Mexico was in the bottom 10 countries for safety, however, with 20% saying they worry about how safe they are. Costa Rica was in third place, and just one percentage point behind Mexico when it came to general happiness. At the other end of the list was Kuwait in 59th place, Italy in 58th and South Africa in 57th.
